KAU faculty members are invited to submit proposals for the ELI Symposium 2018. Proposals need to be clearly written and well-edited, relating the proposal's significance to the theme of the symposium and to recent theory or research in the field.

The title should:

• have no more than 10 words with no exclamation marks or quotations

• not have the presenters' name

The summary should NOT:

•  exceed 50 words

• include presenters' names

• include acronyms or abbreviations except the following: ELT, SLA, EAP, ESP, TESOL, ESL, TESL, TEFL, CALL, L1, and L2.
  

The abstract should:

• not exceed 250 words

• state a clear purpose and argument

• include supporting evidence from recent research and/or practice

• indicate the targeted context and audience
